Academic Challenge is an extra-curricular activity for students in grades 9-12 spotlighting academic excellence. Teams compete for points in the following categories: American Government, American Literature, English/World Literature, Fine Arts, Life Science, Math, Physical Science, U.S. History, World History, and World Geography. We participate in the Jefferson County Academic Competition League, at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels. Our season consists of seven matches and the League Tournament. The Academic Challenge season runs from September through February. Practice is Tuesday and Thursday after school, with matches on Thursday. All home matches are in the high school library.
