September Students of the Month

• Harrison East would like to highlight our September students of the month. It is the first selection of the new school year. Students were selected by their grade level teaching teams based on character attributes such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, readiness to learn, caring/kindness, and citizenship.

Pictured left to right are Bailee Hicks, preschool; Brooke Howell, Kindergarten; Aubree Barker, 1st grade; Haylee Kelley 2nd grade; Katie Cumings, 3rd grade; Dominic Grim, 4th grade; Nicolette Peeler, 5th grade; Drew Culbertson, 6th grade.

• Peer teaching 5th grade math. One student instructs another student (first is an expert and the second is a novice). Students eagerly worked to develop their skills and practice independently so all could have the opportunity to play the role as teacher before the end of the lesson cycle.

Pictured below are Colson Crothers, 25 points; Mason Best, 25 points; Mason Quito, 25 points; Shayla Nameth, 50 points; Garett Wade, 50 points; Eva Johnson, 25 points; Aiden Hensley, 25 points; Kingston Smith, 25 points; and Ella Smith and Bristol Moore both with 50 AR points.
