The Harrison Hills Transportation Hub is located at 43044 Industrial Park Road in Cadiz Ohio. We are a team of 17 full time drivers, 2 bus aides, 2 mechanics, 1 maintenance and 1 Director of Operations. We are a consolidated county-wide school district which requires that our drivers cover a total of 900 miles daily. In all, our drivers make 672 bus stops and transport 1234 students each day. Our transportation department is extremely efficient as 9 of our buses run double routes as they transport high school and elementary school students. We also rely on substitute drivers and aides to fill routes on a needed basis. If you are interested in applying to be a substitute driver or aide, please contact Mr. Ripley at 740-942-7850.

As students in the Harrison Hills City School District ride buses daily, there is always the possibility of missing the bus, getting on the wrong bus, or getting off at the wrong stop. As we implemented ZPass last school year, Harrison Hills City School District will begin using ZPass™ again for the 2016-2017 school year. ZPass is an innovative ridership tracking system to increase safety for all student bus riders again this school year. The ZPass uses RFID-based technology to track student bus ridership in a safe and non-intrusive way. ZPass provides Harrison Hills City School District with accurate location data and ridership information to ensure the safety of bus-riding students.

Harrison Hills City School District will issue each student a unique RFID card which is carried by the student. Students’ names accompanied by their building and district name will be the only identification information on the ZPass card. Upon entering or leaving the school bus, the ZPass reader logs the time, date, and location of the scan. The information is then securely transmitted to a password protected website which Harrison Hills City School District administrators can access to answer questions parents have about their child’s bus ride. These cards do not track where the child is; the cards identify the child, location, and time they scanned their card as they got on and off a bus.

ZPass+™
A recent addition to the ZPass ridership system is ZPass+™, which extends bus rider information to parents. As a participating school district in the OhioSSC Transportation Grant, parents in the Harrison Hills City School District can set up an online account at no charge using their child’s ZPass card number and immediately access student-specific ridership information on the www.zpassplus.com website.

ZPass+ provides parents a whole new level of comfort and assurance by delivering instant push or text message notifications of your child’s bus ride information. Feel confident about your child’s safety with access to the same information the school uses to answer questions about bus rides with ZPass+.
• Know the date, time, and location your child gets on and off the school bus
• Receive instant notifications through push or cell phone text message
• App is available for Apple iPhone and Google Android phones

Please note, for any student that did not receive a ZPass card this week at school, your child’s ZPass card has been ordered and he or she will receive his/her card once it has arrived.

If you do not want to have your child participate in the ZPass program, or if you have questions, please contact our Director of Operations, Brent Ripley at 740.942.7852.
