District Office

• The Board of Education and District Office Administration attended the Ohio Association of School Board’s conference in Columbus.

• Annual reviews within special education were held within the week.

• Mrs. Snider attended the Cadiz Business Association meeting where the Christmas parade and the Snowmen displays were discussed.

• Mrs. Snider and Mrs. Harding attended the OME-RESA board of directors meeting in Cambridge.

• Mrs. Harding completed information for the yearly filing concerning bond disclosure that will be submitted by Bricker and Eckler.

• State auditors are on site and are working with the fiscal department to obtain all documents necessary for the audit.

• Congratulations to the Cross-County team on a great season and thank you for the invitation to the delicious recognition banquet. 

• Fencing work is beginning around the Track and Field

• Concrete work continues at the Track and Field

• Work will continue on the Entrance sign

Harrison Central Jr/Sr High

• The soccer banquet was held to recognize the Girls’ Soccer Team. They raised $300 for cancer awareness during their Pink out game.

• Boys’ Soccer banquet was recently held to recognize players for their accomplishments.

• Allison Anderson, Harrison County Auditor, spoke to seniors about their transition after high school.

• The Veterans Day Assembly was held to recognize our veterans!!

• 8th grade student of the month, Hunter Bittinger!!

• Sergeant Brown and Sergeant Gorrell, spoke to the seniors about opportunities to join the Army.

• Jim Conrad from the Carpenters Local Union 186 spoke with juniors and seniors about careers in carpentry.

• Football Recognition Banquet held to recognize football players and cheerleaders. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments!!!

• Sophomore students attended the sophomore visitation at the Harrison Career Center.

Harrison Central Elementary

• With the help of high school students, including the band and choir, Harrison Central Elementary students honored and celebrated Veteran’s Day with our local heroes. 

• Second Grader, Lena Sutton, is a fact master in Mrs. Gaffney’s class. 

• Positive Behavior awards are springing up all over the 3rd grade pod!

• In spite of the sudden cold and snow, students still enjoyed being outside and taking advantage of all the school has to offer!

A Floridian’s first experience with snow!

• The cold temperatures didn’t keep 1st Grade 21st Century students from bundling up and walking to Puskarich Public Library. Thank you to Kerri Johnson for tracking down these drawstring bags so we could get our library books back to school with ease.

• Super-star 2nd grade readers Brin Snyder, Kendall Hayes, Daylee Walters, and Dalton Cumings all earning 50 AR points; JB Visser, 75 AR points; and Rhys Gibson with 25 AR points!

• Mrs. McAfee’s 2nd grade class did they annual pumpkin decorating contest based on the students’ favorite book character. This year’s winners were Aubree Barker, 1st place; JB Visser, 2nd place; and Knox Rogers, 3rd place.
