District Office

• Harrison Hills will be having a sixth-grade camp at Camp Muskingum this year. A grant was awarded to cover this expense. 

• Congratulations to the Huskies Academic Team on winning their league competition. They will advance to Regionals on April 18th. Great Job!

• The district CORE meeting was held and the new softball, track, and press box was discussed. 

• Annual program reviews within special education were held

• Collaboration regarding services was conducted throughout the week

• Mrs. Snider worked with Mrs. Gibson on verifying Excess Cost applications. 

• Mrs. Harding and Mr. Saffell met with HMS concerning the managed care portion of workers compensation.

• Mrs. Harding uploaded all information for a Federal Self Survey related to two federal programs. 

• Mrs. Harding and Mr. Morgan will be working on the information for a Fiscal Monitoring Desk Review for all federal programs that is due May 31.

• Track and field house flooring is complete. Track and field equipment is arriving.

• 7th & 8th grade students at their “Winter Wonderland” dance.

• The Academic Challenge team in action against Edison! Congratulations to the team for a 6 and 1 finish on the season!

• The high school boys’ basketball team defeated Steubenville!

• The Heritage Wall is nearing completion with installation of new touchscreen displays and software put together by the school and community.

• Scholarship Night was held for seniors. Thank you to all the local community members for their support!

• Coach Hayes and Cale McAfee attended the North-South Football Banquet. Both will participate in the North-South Football Game that will be held in April.

• The Academic Challenge team participated in the Jefferson County Academic Competition League Tournament on Saturday, February 8 at EGCC. They placed third in the tournament. It was announced that they were the Jefferson County Academic Competition League Champions for the regular season. They will advance to regionals on April 18th.

Harrison Central Elementary

• Miss Tipton’s second grade class successfully completed racing through addition fact quizzes 0-10. They also celebrated the 100th day of school in a bright and shining way!

• Kierra Chapman has reached the 75-point club in AR points. Her advice to the class is be patient and keep working toward your goals!

• Congratulations to Ms. Van Camp and Mrs. Agostini for being selected as State Farm Teachers of Month for December and January, respectively. 

• Students enjoyed a visit from Matt and Ned in NED Kindness Adventures. Students were reminded of ways to help make everyone feel welcomed and loved.
