Huskies Talk Issue 12

Administrators attended Zoom meetings concerning the Softball Field and Football Press box. Design is completed for both projects and bids have been received for the Softball Field. Turf will be started the week of 1/11/21. 

Harrison Hills received a Safety Grant that will be used for supplies for the Resource Officers.

Mrs. Snider attended the ESC Superintendent Zoom meeting where the new quarantine protocols were reviewed. 

Continued collaboration with faculty regarding licensure renewal

Continual review of State testing progress and subsequent scheduling

Special Education collaboration and reviews were held throughout the week

Budgetary and payroll have been closed for calendar year end and all reports filed. Our local ITC will print all W2’s and once they are received will be distributed to staff.

CARES funding reporting has been completed for CTF funding and ESSERS reporting is due this week.

The tax budget for FY22 is on file and the board will hold the budget hearing on Thursday at 5:45 pm and it will be up for approval at the organizational meeting on Thursday at 6:00 pm.

 

Seniors from the boys’ basketball team and cheerleaders held their Senior Night on December 17, 2020. The game was against St. Clairsville; Harrison winning with the score of 76-67. The boys’ basketball team also participated in the Buckeye 8 Challenge on December 19 against Pilo, winning with the final score being 57-54. Good luck to all Huskies and their upcoming games!

The girls’ basketball team honored their three seniors on December 29, 2020. The girls were victorious that night against Toronto, winning 54-37. They then went on the next day to play St. Clairsville, but lost in overtime 45-44.

Junior High Boys' Basketball

The junior high boys' basketball team played at the Stephenson Center on Friday, December 18. The Huskies had a double victory against the Buckeye Local Panthers. The 7th grade team won with a score of 48-38, and 8th grade with a score of 57-24. 7th grade has a record 6-2 and 8th grade 3-4, but both teams still have half a season to go.

Geometry Students

Students in Mrs. Pelegreen’s geometry classes are finishing off the semester and preparing by reviewing what they’ve learned by safely working through this end-of-quarter review.

Varsity Wrestling

The varsity wrestling team honored their senior wrestler, Dawson Vich, when they held their senior night on December 18, 2020 against Beallsville. They ended their night with a win of 36-18.
