Ohhh, You Better Watch Out...Students at HC Elementary had a special visitor Friday, December 11. You can see them below lining the sidewalks to wave at Santa! Soaring in SecondA crime has been committed! Someone has taken Rudolph! Mrs. Gaffney’s students were up to the challenge to solve the crime! Each student received a case file and worked hard using their reading skills to gain clues. Alexis and Caroline were the first to crack the case! The detectives receive a certificate and special treat for solving the crime. Fabulous in FourthFourth grade was busy with turkey projects leading up to Thanksgiving break. In science class, students had to disguise Tom Turkey so he could once again escape the dinner table. In writing class, students chose an Emoji Turkey and wrote a persuasive paragraph about why they should not be eaten for Thanksgiving. We had turkeys in love, turkeys sick with COVID and even a Dr. Turkey with a full schedule! Standing Out in SixthSixth grade students are studying Georgia O’Keefe is art class.
