Huskies Talk Issue 25

Plans for the summer enrichment program were finalized. The program will begin June 1st. from 8:30-11:30 every Monday thru Thursday in June. The program is designed to provide remediation to K-8 students in the area of math and reading. 

Mrs. Snider attended the Cadiz Business Association. Evan Myers was the winner of last month’s raffle.

Mr. Morgan attended annual and initial special education meetings.

Professional development organized and planned for faculty

Faculty licensure focus and assistance 

Mrs. Harding contacted SCView for pickup of inactive files for scanning. They have scheduled May 19 as the date for pickup.

Industrial Appraisals has been on site for appraisals requested by the board of education. The first report projected to be available by June 1.

Mrs. Harding attended a Go Meets session with American Fidelity. They will doing their required yearly update meeting with all staff like last year, virtually. More information will be forthcoming.
 

 

Baseball Senior Night

On Tuesday, May 11, the Harrison Central baseball team honored their seniors. Pictured with their coaches are Kobe Mitchell, Sam Santille, Skylar Mazeroski, and Lane Harding (left to right). The boys picked up a victory, beating Toronto 7-0, which was the schools first ever victory over a team ranked number one in the state (coaches poll division IV). Congratulations to our seniors and the team with their memorable victory!

Geometry Probability Golf

On Wednesday, May 12, Mrs. Pelegreen’s geometry class reviewed their lesson over probability. Once completed with the lesson, they participated in probability golf with their classmates, to review their understanding of probability.

Softball Sectional Champs

The softball team played Buckeye Trail in the D3 Sectional Championship on Thursday, May 13th, winning 8-7. This will be the Huskies first trip to the district tournament since 2014. Congratulations girls and coaches!

Soaring in Second

Students in Miss Tipton's 2nd grade worked on researching one of the fifty states. Each student completed a brochure that contained interesting facts, state bird, state motto, state flower, and many other facts. Then students presented their finding to their classmates.

Declan Richards has earned 75 AR points for the school year. Declan enjoys chapter books. Mady White has 25 points and loves the Bad Guys series. Haylie Woods now has 50 points and is enjoyed graphic novels by Raina Telegemeior.

Fabulous in Fourth

Students got some hands-on experience last Friday using toothpicks to create some of the shapes they were learning about in geometry.
