Bowling Defeats Buckeye Local

   
 

 
    The bowling team traveled to St. Clair Lanes on Friday, January 10 to compete against Buckeye Local. The boys’ team was victorious with a score of 1754-1691. High scores were: Drew Culbertson - 175, Kobie Hennis - 158, and LJ Mitchell - 147. The girls’ team was also victorious with a score of 1663-1650. High scores were: Tayla Thompson - 168-161, Angel Utter - 158, Sophie Bland - 151, and Hayley Willis - 142.    
   

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Against Barnesville

   
 

 
   

On Monday, January 13, the junior high boys’ basketball teams played Barnesville at home. 7th grade was defeated with a final score of 39-30, while 8th grade was victorious with a final score of 43-25.

On Monday, January 13, the boys’ basketball team traveled to East Liverpool. Unfortunately, the Huskies fell in both junior varsity and varsity games. The junior varsity score was 38-30 and the varsity score was 62-43.

Girls’ Basketball Splits with Edison

   
 

 
    The girls’ basketball team traveled to Edison on Monday, January 13. The junior varsity was defeated with a score of 20-17, while the varsity team was victorious with a final score of 42-38.    
   

Bowling Teams Participate in the Buckeye 8 Championship

   
 

 
   

Our varsity bowling teams traveled to St. Clair Lanes on Tuesday, January 14 to participate in the Buckeye 8 Championship. Our girls placed second and our boys placed third in the championship, with Kobie Hennis, Xavier Kolinski, and Tayla Thompson all being named All-Buckeye 8.

Boys’ Basketball Defeats Toronto

   
 

 

 
    The boys’ basketball team hosted Toronto on Tuesday, January 14. Both teams were victorious on the night. The junior varsity won 52-27, while the varsity team won 53-39.    
   

Boys’ Basketball Takes on Union Local

   
   
   

On Wednesday, January 15 the boys’ basketball teams played against Union Local. The 7th grade team was victorious with a score of 20-18. The 8th grade team lost 38-33. Finally, the 9th grade team defeated the Jets with a score of 37-29.

On Friday, January 17, the boys’ and girls’ bowling teams traveled to Beaver local. Both of our teams won. The boys’ team won with the score of 1953-1846, while the girls won with a score of 1819-1438.

On Friday, January 17, the boys’ basketball team faced Weirton. The junior varsity team won 35-32 and the varsity team won 53-44.

Wrestling OVAC’s

   
 

 
    The OVAC Wrestling Tournament took place Thursday, January 16 through Saturday, January 18. The team finished in 8th place in Class 4A. Landen Thomas finished as the 285lb runner-up, and Knox McKibben finished in 5th place at 215lbs.

On Saturday, January 18, our junior high girls’ basketball team hosted Union Local. The seventh grade team lost 23-12, while the eighth grade team ended up victorious, winning 31-28.

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Victorious Over Conotton Valley

   
 

 
   

On Saturday, January 18, the junior high boys’ basketball team had a home game against Conotton Valley. The 7th grade team was victorious with a score of 32-22, while the 8th grade team was victorious as well, with a final score of 26-20.

Boys’ Basketball Falls to Steubenville Catholic Central

   
 

 
   

On Saturday, January 18, our junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball teams hosted Steubenville Catholic Central. The junior varsity team lost, with a score of 39-34; as well as the varsity team who lost with the score of 41-39.

Girls’ Basketball Buckeye 8

   
 

 
    The girls’ basketball Buckeye 8 tournament was held on Saturday, January 18. Our team played Cambridge, where they were victorious with a final score of 54-32. Kennedy Dunlap was named player of the game for Harrison Central.    
   

Boys’ Basketball Beat the Wildcats

   
 

 
   

On Tuesday, January 21, the boys’ basketball team traveled to Edison and came home with a big victory. The junior varsity won 39-33, while the varsity also won with the score of 51-28. Bryson Kamarec led with 19 points and Brady Elliott followed, scoring 18 points, with 8 points in the fourth quarter.

Our junior high boys’ basketball team traveled to St. Clairsville on Wednesday, January 22. Unfortunately, both teams were defeated. The 7th grade team ended on a loss of 45-26, and the 8th grade fell 47-26.

    The girls’ basketball team traveled to Steubenville Catholic Central on Wednesday, January 22. Both teams were victorious for the evening, junior varsity won 26-14, while the varsity won 39-34.

On Thursday, January 23, the girls’ basketball team hosted Buckeye Local. We were victorious, defeating Buckeye Local with a final score of 52-19.

Our varsity bowling teams’ traveled to Union Local on Thursday, January 23. The boys fell 1811-1782. High games were: Kobbie Hennis - 204 and LJ Mitchell - 166. The girls were victorious with a score of 1765-1452. High games were: Tylynn Smith - 200, Angel Utter - 181, Tayla Thompson - 151-143, and Jaylie Byers - 148.

    The Academic Challenge team hosted Edison on Thursday, January 23. Both the junior varsity and varsity teams were victorious. The junior varsity won 3-0, while the varsity won 2-1.
