September Students of the Month

Harry the Husky

What is Your Passion?

How will you make a difference in the world? Mrs. Abby Roberts is making a difference by creating pottery and sharing her talents with the fourth grade and Harrison County.

Fourth graders are learning about the different Indian tribes in social studies. They will create Indian villages using natural resources that they find in their explorations.. Students discussed the purposes of early utilization of clay pots and how it benefited the Indians.

Students are encouraged to find their passions through reading, exploration, and creativity. Mrs. Roberts continued this theme as she taught the students about the origin of clay, pottery, and glazing. The fourth graders loved this activity. No two pots were exactly the same.

We look forward to seeing more of her creations!
