
Cheerleaders Hold High Five Friday
On Friday, August 26, the cheerleaders welcomed our students into the building with our first ever High Five Friday, to kick off the season with our first home football game. - Khylii Keffer Varsity Football Defeats Buckeye Trail
On Friday, August 26, varsity football played their first home game against Buckeye Trail and won 48-20. Hayden Cassidy threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns. Mykel Quito ran for 90 yards and one touchdown, and Caleb Cowans had 45 yards on five carries. The team is now 2-0. - Emma Tuttle Boys’ Soccer Falls to Maysville 4-1
On Saturday, August 27, the boys’ varsity soccer team lost the away non-conference game against Maysville with a final score of 4-1. Kaden Jurosko had the only goal, and Jace Madzia had one assist. - Malcom Davies Junior Varsity Football Falls to Buckeye Trail
The junior varsity football team traveled to Buckeye Trail on Saturday, August 27. Although they lost, the game was a lot closer than the score indicated. Jacob Quito had the only touchdown for the Huskies, on a long touchdown pass from Brady Hyre. Austin Lucas, Chaz Culbertson, and Nathan Dulkoski played well on defense. This drops the junior varsity team to 0-2 to start the season. - Kendra DeWees Girls Soccer Defeats Maysville
On Saturday, August 27, the girls’ soccer team traveled to Maysville and conquered the Panthers with a winning score of 4-3. With a tying score of 1-1 during halftime, the Huskies brought the intensity to the second half, with two additional goals scored by Angi Ferri, and one coming off the foot of Lily Gibbons. - Lexi Smith Cross Country Runs Riverside Kickoff Classic Night Invitational
On Saturday, August 27, the high school cross country team traveled to Painesville for a night invitational at Riverside High School. Sean Forrester was the team’s fastest runner for the evening, finishing 92nd overall out of 232, with a time of 19:28. - Servacio Lopez Volleyball Falls to East Liverpool
Monday, August 29, the girls’ volleyball team traveled to East Liverpool. Both junior varsity and varsity fell to the Lady Potters. Junior varsity lost 2-0 and the Varsity lost 3-0. The varsity team recorded a total of 56 digs throughout the evening. - Leah Cottrell Junior High Volleyball Falls to St. Clairsville
On Monday, August 29, the junior high volleyball teams played St. Clairsville. The 7th grade team won in two sets, remaining undefeated on the season. Unfortunately, the 8th grade team lost in two sets. - Zoe Whipkey Girls’ Soccer Defeated by River View
On Tuesday, August 30, the girls’ soccer team played the River View Bears. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, but it was postponed to Tuesday, due to the weather. The girls were defeated 2-0. Although River View scored 2, Vanessa Dowdle, Harrison Central goalie, saved 17 balls from going in. - Maddy Bender Golf Plays in Round Two of Buckeye Eight
On Tuesday, August 30, the golf team played in the second round of the Buckeye Eight Tournament. Nash Roberts trailed by six after the first round and shot a 93 on his second round. Roberts finished sixth overall with a final score of 170. - Haley Dunlap Junior High Volleyball Defeats Buckeye Local
On Wednesday, August 31, the junior high volleyball team hosted Buckeye Local. The 7th grade team won in two sets; 25-19, 25-19. The 8th grade team also came out victorious with a win; 25-20, 25-13. During the 8th grade game, Randee Hennis had a total of 14 kills and Bailey Smith had a total of 17 assists. - Sophie Bland Junior High Football Falls to Edison 12-6
On Wednesday, August 31, the junior high football team played at Edison and lost 12-6. Clayton Tuchek had 27 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown for the Huskies. With this loss, they fall to 0-2 on the year, but look to bounce back next week against Bellaire. - Chaz Culbertson Junior High Volleyball Defeats Conotton Valley
On Saturday, August 27, the junior high volleyball teams traveled to Conotton Valley. Both teams played well and came home with victories over the Rockets. - Kimberly Eikleberry Varsity Cross Country at East Canton
On Wednesday, August 31, the high school cross country team ran at East Canton High School. For the boys, Sean Forrester’s time was 19:03.80, receiving 15th place, Brent Malcolm’s time was 20:17.90, with 24th place, and Charles Garbrandt’s time was 20:33.40, for 27th place. For the girls, Maddy Edwards’ time was 25:34.20, receiving 27th place, while Gretchin Dulkoski’s time was 25:50.80, for 29th place. - Kaleb Bethel Huskies Volleyball Falls to Edison
On Thursday, September 1 the Huskies Varsity Volleyball Team lost to the Edison Wildcats 3-1. The scores being; 23-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-25. The statistical leaders for Harrison Central were; Danica Rensi with 8 kills, Olivia Tonkovich with 25 assists, and Maddy Butler with 28 digs. However, the junior varsity team was victorious, winning in two sets. - Nadia Tweedy Girls’ Soccer Annihilates Wildcats
On Thursday, September 1, the girls’ soccer team traveled to Edison to play in a regular season game. The girls got a head start in the first half with a score of 7-0 at half time. They kept the lead going, ending the game 13-1. Angi Ferri scored 4 goals, Lily Gibbons had 2, while Maddy Bender, Lexi Smith, Hayden Elliott, Collette Downs, Gracie Rogers, Alina Williams and Isabel Yeager all chipped in with 1 goal. - Angi Ferri Junior High Volleyball Defeats Edison
On Thursday, September 1, the Harrison Central Junior High volleyball team hosted Edison. The 7th & 8th grade both triumphed against the Edison team. The end results were 2-0 for both grades.
