This past week the Buckeye Trail Warriors came to Wagner field and beat the Huskies with a score of 44-41.

Cross Country at Newcomerstown

|
|
|

|
The cross country team participated in the Newcomerstown Invite on Saturday, August 31. For the junior high team, Avalyn Sall finished in 27th place and Brody McCabe came in 8th place.
As for the high school team, Aubrie Moss finished in 47th place and Tyler Garbrandt came in 36th place.

The golf team traveled to Buckeye Local on Tuesday, September 3. Unfortunately, the team lost 164-204.

On September 3, The boys soccer team traveled to St. Clairsville and tied 1-1 for the first game of September. The only goal was scored by senior Kayden Dunkle.

Jr High Volleyball Loses against Barnesville

On Tuesday September 3, The Jr High Volleyball team loses a battle against the Shamrocks. The 7th grade team lost 2-1 sets. The first set was 8-25, the second set was 25-21, and the third set was 19-25. The 8th grade lost in two sets. First set was 11-25 and the second set was 22-25.

On Tuesday September 3, 2024. The Huskies hosted the Shamrocks, Unfortunately Junior Varsity lost with two sets with the score of 25-23 and 25-23. The varsity also played in five sets with the score of 25-23,25-20,25-23, 25-19, and 16-14.

On Wednesday, September 4, the junior high football team hosted the Bellaire Big Reds. The Huskies were victorious with a final score of 14-8.

On Thursday, September 5, the Harrison Central Golf Team traveled to John Marshall. Nash Roberts led the team with a score of 41. Unfortunately, the Huskies were defeated, with a score of 191-194.

On Thursday September 5, 2024 the boys’ soccer team traveled to Cambridge. The team was victorious with a score of 6-0. As Brady Elllott made three goals and one assist, Ocean Rogers had two goals, Cooper Thompson with one goal, Kayden Dunkle with one assist, Triston Cole with two assists, and Gaige Dombroski had one assist.

East Liverpool just beat the girls soccer team by one on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Lilly Gibbons scored one goal. The downfall of the game came in the second half.

On Thursday, September 5th the volleyball team played Beaver Local at home. The junior varsity team won in two sets with the score being 25-20 in both. The varsity team were defeated 25-18 in the first set and lost in the second and third set with a score of 25-23.

Mr. Bengier and his 4th grade classes used our new outdoor learning center! The classes had the instructional focus “Think-Pair-Share” where students came up with an answer on their own before pairing up with a classmate to talk and share with the rest of the class.

Mrs. Doty’s class is full of teacher helpers! Every morning she uses popsicle sticks with the names of her students to choose a teacher helper. That student gets to be the teacher to review morning work!
