Baseball Defeats Union Local

   
 

 
   

On Friday, April 19, the boys’ baseball team traveled to Union Local. The Huskies had a challenging game, but came out on top with a final score of 10-9.

Track Participates in Indian Valley Invite

   
 

 
    The high school track teams traveled to Indian Valley on Friday, April 19, to participate in their invitational. Both the boys and girls teams finished in 7th place.    
   

Baseball Hosts Zanesville & Edison

   
 

 
   

On Saturday, April 20, the baseball team hosted the Blue Devils of Zanesville and the Wildcats of Edison. We were victorious over Zanesville with a score of 5-4, but we unfortunately lost to the Wildcats with a score of 15-3.

Girls Softball Takes on Meadowbrook in a Doubleheader

   
 

 
   

On Saturday, April 20, the softball team traveled to Meadowbrook, for a doubleheader. Unfortunately, the team fell in both games, being defeated 4-1 in the first game and 11-3 in the second game.

Junior High Track Finishes Edison League

   
 

 
   

On Monday, April 22, the junior high track team finished the Edison League.The girls team beat the Jr. Crusaders 57-32, finishing in 3rd place, with a record of 2-2. The boys track team also beat the Jr. Crusaders 79-18 and finished in 1st place with a 3-1 record.

Softball Defeats Union Local

   
 

 
   

On Monday, April 22, both junior varsity and varsity softball teams traveled to Union Local to compete against the Jets. The junior varsity won 10-4. The varsity girls defeated the Jets 15-4.

Baseball Buckeye 8 Crossover

   
 

 
   

On Tuesday, April 23, the baseball team faced off against Union Local in the Buckeye 8 Crossover game. It was a close game, but in the end, the Huskies emerged victorious with a score of 5-4.

Softball Falls to Brooke

   
 

 
   

On Tuesday, April 23, the softball team traveled to Brooke, to take on the Bruins. Unfortunately, the Huskies were defeated 7-1.

On Tuesday, April 23, the track team hosted a quad, hosting the Indian Creek Redskins, Buckeye Local Panthers, and the St. Clairsville Red Devils. Both the boys and girls teams were victorious, defeating all three teams.

Envirothon

   
 

 
    On Wednesday, April 24,the Harrison Central Envirothon Team competed in the Area 3 Envirothon at the Glenford Fort Preserve, Perry County Ohio. They competed in 5 topics; Current Environmental Issues, Aquatics, Soil, Wildlife, and Forestry, against 47 other teams from 16 different counties in Area 3. The top 4 teams advanced to the State Envirothon in June. Harrison Central placed 5th, as State Alternates. So Proud of this team consisting of Captain: Peyton Roski, members Lindsay Heavilin, Rylie Carter, Kaitlyn Greer, Joseph Taylor and alternate Katarina Carman. On Wednesday, April 24, the baseball team traveled to Steubenville. Unfortunately, the team ended up losing 4-1.

On Wednesday, April 24, the softball team traveled to Bellaire to go against the Big Reds. The junior varsity team lost 10-2, and the varsity team won 14-0.

The baseball team hosted the Wheeling Central Maroon Knights on Thursday, April 25. Unfortunately, the team was defeated with a final score of 5-1.

Thursday, April 25, the junior high track team went to St. Clairsville for their Buckeye 8 meet. The boys team placed 6th with 35 points, and the girls team placed 7th with 40 points.

Softball Defeats Oak Glen

   
 

 
    The softball team traveled to Oak Glen on Thursday, April 25. The team came out on top, beating the Golden Bears 2-0.

World Book Day!

   
    Second grade celebrated World Book Day on Tuesday, April 23rd. The kiddos dressed up as their favorite book characters! They did a ton of reading, discussed books, and took AR quizzes to celebrate!

    Congratulations to second grade student Connor Helms for mastering his sight word list!    
 

 
   

Positive Shoutout!

   
    These 6th grade students were awarded with positive behavior certificates. They included a younger student, Ramsey, in their game of football on the playground during the 6th grade state testing break. How amazing!
