District Office

• Mrs. Snider attended the OCALI transition meeting held at the Developmental Disabilities building. 

• The superintendent attended the Cadiz Business Association meeting where discussion was held concerning the community awards ceremony.

• Mrs. Snider and Mrs. Harding attended the OMERESA Board of Directors’ meeting. 

• Harrison Central Elementary and Junior Senior High Schools have applied for School Climate grants. 

• Mrs. Harding worked with Meritain concerning various claim issues.

• Ohio School Facilities requested documents related to the building project. Mrs. Harding scanned and provided all requested information.
 

Harrison Central Jr/Sr High

• Senior wrestlers were recognized at their last home wrestling match. 

• Wrestling team under the lights. 

• New look in the Athletic Hallway!

• A big thanks to the Harrison County Community Foundation who shared the love of literacy with our junior high this Valentine’s Day season, by purchasing every student their own personal copy of Tuck Everlasting or The House on Mango Street. 

• Congratulations to the girls’ bowling team on advancing to the District Bowling Tournament! Also, congratulations to the boys’ bowling team on advancing to the District Tournament!

• Parents and students attended an informational meeting with Mr. Dunlap about the College Credit Plus opportunities at Harrison Central as well as surrounding colleges. Students need to turn in their letters of intent by April 1st if they would like to participate.

• Last week Harrison Central kicked off the OHIO Mentor program in partnership with Ohio University Eastern Campus. College Mentors come to HCHS two nights per week to spend time with students in the 9th and 10th grades. Pictured are one of the groups with their mentor Hailey.

Harrison Central Elementary

• Kindergarten 21st Century Enrichment students show off their skills !!

• Second grade Super Stars!

• Mrs. Jones's 5th grade Social Studies classes working on an escape room activity about the Mayflower and Mayflower Compact. Some groups solved the puzzles and unlocked the code, while other groups weren't quite so fortunate.

• Valentine’s Day is for showing some L-O-V-E!!

• 5th graders, in Mrs. Barker's homeroom, exchanged Valentines and then competed with each other on a variety of puzzles and games!

• Harrison Central Elementary welcomed almost 250 parents and guardians to our recent Parent-Teacher conference day. It was a pleasure having so many visitors.
