• Mrs. Snider attended the OVAC Band exhibition in Martins Ferry. Congratulations to our Huskies for a wonderful performance!

• Administration held their monthly meeting on Tuesday where test scores were reviewed, evaluations were discussed, and professional development was outlined. 

• Mrs. Clements and Mrs. Harding have been working on the final steps of clearing reporting fields and doing mass changes necessary for EMIS reporting.

• Mrs. Harding has been in communication with officials from Hopedale Village, Green Township and Puskarich Library concerning the status of the abatement and demolition of the district’s vacant buildings.

• The Wellness Clinic was a success last week. Thank you, Mrs. Clements, for setting it up.

Harrison Central Jr/Sr High

• The volleyball team donated $400 to the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders from their Volley for a Cure game.

• The volleyball team finished their season, 10-13, on Tuesday against Garaway.

• Congratulations to Brandon Haga for receiving an award for Good Citizenship. 

• Congratulaions to Kayden Dunkle for receiving an Award for Excellence.

• Cooperative Learning Groups being utilized in 8th grade language arts.

• Pink out for the Varsity Football Game!!!

• Mrs. Taylor’s zoology class designed zoo exhibits.

Harrison Central Elementary

• Second graders Keagan Rice and Aiden Ferguson enjoying 2nd grade life! Mrs. Watson reads Borreguita and the Lamb and get the class to make predictions to the Mexican folktale. Also pictured are Anistyn Walters and Jairden Coleman as they get 50 AR points and 25 AR points, respectively. 

• No matter the weather, we are Happy Huskies!

• Fourth graders have been busy as they were doing lab experiments with paper clips and magnets. One of the questions they were answering was how many paper clips can a magnet pick up. The students graphed their results. They also were studying Native Americans and they made dioramas to represent what they thought life was like hundreds of years ago. 

• Third grade has been learning how to measure the mass, volume, and length of matter as well as describing various physical properties of matter.
