District Office

• The superintendent met with a Harrison community Hospital official to finalize an agreement for their providing Harrison Central a doctor or nurse practitioner one day a week.

• Mrs. Snider attended the planning meeting for the Harrison County Imagination Library initiative. 

• The superintendent attended the Cadiz Business Association meeting.

• Tax Budget is complete and hearing was held Jan. 8, 2020. Treasurer has to submit to County Auditor by January 20.

• The treasurer was notified that state auditor’s office has completed all onsite work. The unofficial report is being reviewed now for the 2019 fiscal year.

• Meeder investments has been working with the treasurer concerning current and future investments.

Harrison Central Jr/Sr High

• Mrs. Arbaugh's 7th grade ELA word count class race is starting to heat up!!!

• Junior high girls’ basketball participated in the Wheeling Hospital Holiday Classic. 

• The high school band played at the CRC basketball tournament in Wheeling over holiday break.

• HC hosted the Wheeling Hospital girls’ basketball showcase over Christmas break.

Harrison Central Elementary

• Harrison Central Elementary is starting 2020 off in a positively great way!! 

• Mrs. T. Starr’s 5th grade 21st century class had to research a career, interview and photograph someone in the career, and then present their findings in the required uniform for the profession.

• Mrs. Novotny’s kindergarten class celebrated little readers and got competitive with spelling races! 

• In Ms Ashley and Ms Dayna”s preschool class they practiced writing our names in shaving cream!

• Many, many months ago, in recognition of Autism Awareness, we had a balloon launch and over Christmas break Mrs. J. Starr received the following message along with pictures. We are impacting our world one student at a time!

My name is Joe. I own 11 acres at 361 Twin Hills Rd. Grindstone, Pennsylvania 15442. I found your balloon while cutting the field at the rear of the property over this past weekend. Your school is about 60 miles from here. I found the balloon on December 22, 2019 in the afternoon. You can see what’s going on here at foggy spring farm on Facebook. ?? I’ll attach a photo of the tag that I found.
