Huskies Talk Issue 3

Mrs. Snider, Mr. Dunlap, and Mr. Hibbs held “Mock Senior Interviews” for students in Ms. McIntosh’s class. All seniors did a good job on his or her interview. 

Board of Education meeting was held on September 24th. 

State Treasurer Robert Sprague will be touring Harrison Central on October 15th. 

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences set for October 12, 2020 will be virtual. There will be no in-person conferences on this date. If you wish to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher, please visit the school website (www.hhcsd.org), click on the "Parents" page, then click on the "Meet The Teacher" link to book your conference(s). A Parents' Guide for Booking Appointments is available to assist you with this online process. If you have any questions, please feel free to call your school office.

Peeking into Preschool

In Miss Ashley’s Preschool- group A students practice tracing their own name.

Kicking It with Kindergarten

Students in Mrs. Novotny’s class use dry erase boards and markers to practice their alphabet and sight words.

Following the Fourth Grade

In writing this week, students continued working on using good sentences. In this activity, students worked in pairs to decide if the sentence was a complete sentence or a sentence fragment.

Students work with Miss Ferrell on complete sentences. They are working hard to develop the foundation of a great paragraph!

4th graders made rockets as part of their scientific method lesson. Pictures is Leven Burke after her rocket was complete.

Following the Fifth Grade

Emerson Wood is shown with his memorial marker he made for a bird that was found in the grass at recess.

Tweeting Twice from 21st Century

First graders meeting in 21st Century Enrichment Class with Mrs. Rocchi including a student learning from home. He joins us daily through Google Meet.

HUSKY SHOUTOUTS!

Preschooler Harper Dunlap received a certificate for successfully counting to 100.

4th Grader, Victoria Barcroft was recognized for being ready to learn in the classroom. Great job Victoria!

4th grader, Eric Bailey, was also recognized this week for showing Good Citizenship and helping his teachers and classmates.
