Huskies Talk Issue 1

• Track and Field scoreboard is erected.

• Dynamic Compaction will be completed on the new softball field this week as construction continues at the softball complex.

• The new fence around back of elementary is complete

• Mrs. Snider attended the Cadiz Business Association meeting where plans were discussed for the Cadiz Holiday parade. 

• Grants were submitted for health, safety and technology supplies through Cares Funds. 

• As the school year is up and running, the fiscal department has been busy getting beginning of the school year purchases done, working with staff on updating forms and answering staff questions.

• Mrs. Harding is fine tuning the temporary appropriations and will request the board to approve the permanent appropriations at the September 24th board meeting. 

• All students are receiving “free” lunch through December from the Governmental Cares Funds. Students are enjoying prize tray days, elementary eating in their classrooms, and homemade pizza. Thank you to the cafeteria staff for doing such a great job feeding our students and staff. 



• Students in broadcast classes get ready to do the announcements.

• Ascent Resources was so kind to donate our school hand sanitizer!

• Students stay safe while learning by using masks and social distancing 
 to prevent the spread of germs. 

• Cheerleaders welcomed students with a wave on Friday morning!

• Senior band members were recognized at Friday’s football game!

• Ms. Ashley’s preschool class rediscovers the joys of playing together. They celebrate Husky pride!

• In Social Studies, third graders are learning about citizenship and following rules, laws, and taking responsibility for their actions as Sargent Valesko shares some of his job duties. 

• In Mrs. Sproull’s class, third grade has been learning about some methods scientists use to answer questions. They recently completed an experiment in order to help understand the steps involved in the scientific method.

• Students in Mrs. Doty’s second grade class take turns being the teacher to review morning work.
