Harrison Central Band Concert
Harrison Central band concert was excellent and well attended. OVAC Band Show
Harrison Central hosted the OVAC Band Show on Saturday October 23rd. The event included eight bands and area visitors enjoyed this event. 
At the OVAC band show all bands play for the final performance. Fall Choir Concert
On Tuesday, October 19, at 7:00pm, Mr. and Mrs. Zalenski’s choir classes performed in the auditorium. Concert Choir, Chorus, Bella Voce, and Select Choir were the performing groups. Overall, the night had a great turn out. Thank you to everyone involved! - Cecilia Bellerive V.A.L.E.S. Luncheon
On Monday, October 18, the seniors from both Buckeye Local and Harrison Central’s football team held their yearly luncheon for the V.A.L.E.S game. The luncheon was at the Adena American Legion. We had seven seniors representing Harrison Central this year, pictured left to right, JT Wagner, Daniel Thornton, Trevor Carman, Jonathan Vermillion, Matthew Smith, and Nathan Bertolino. We also were represented by our coaching staff: Mark Smith, AJ Barsch, Ty Kenny, Cain Noble, Ian White, and Head Coach Anthony Hayes. The local legionnaires pictured, on the left, are Paul Kolanick and Gary Denoble. On the right is Mike Cottage and Don Richards. As usual, this event was an overall success for both teams. Thank you to everyone for their involvement in this wonderful event! - Kaily Banal Huskies Beat Creek in Goodwill Drive
This battle of the Goodwill Victory Drive started on Tuesday, October 12 and ended on Friday, October 15. The Huskies defeated Creek, as they donated more items. Students, staff, and community members brought in clothing, houseware items, and small appliances. Collectively, the schools donated 10,554 pounds of goods. Harrison Central will be receiving a $250 scholarship for their great effort, courtesy of Trinity Health System. - Edwin Stringer Fall Band Concert
On Wednesday, October 20, the Jazz Band and Marching Band both performed in the auditorium. The Jazz Band, directed by Mr. Zalenski, played several pieces. The Marching Band played all of their songs from their season; pregame, half time, homecoming, senior night, and stand tunes, and the drumline played the candiances. In between the concert, the music boosters held an auction. It was a fun and successful night for both parts of the concert. - Kaylee Vermillion Boys’ Soccer Defeats Tri-Valley in Thriller
On October 18, the Huskies beat the Tri-Valley Scotties. The score was 3-2. The goals were scored by Jacob Mattern and Jace Madzia. Jaydis Yoho was in goal and had 10 saves. Jace Madiza also had one assist. The game went into overtime and it was down to a penalty kick shootout, where the Huskies won the shootout 5-4. The penalty kicks were scored by Jace Madzia, Taylor Cope, Mack Marshall, Kayden Dunkle, and Jacob Mattern. Now, the Huskies advance to the sectional finals and play Dover. - Peyton Roski Football Victorious over Creek
On Friday, October 15, the football team played Indian Creek, which was senior night. Before the game, senior football players and the senior cheerleader were introduced, and the band seniors were introduced at halftime. The Huskies were victorious with a score of 33-23. They are now 4-5. - Georgia Cox Volleyball Finishes Season
On Tuesday, October 19, the volleyball team played their last game of the season. They played in the sectional semifinal match against Barnesville at Tusky Valley. Barnesville took the win with a score of 3-2. The set scores were 25-18, 19-25, 25-22, 23-25 and 8-15. McKayla Dunkle led the night with 30 kills and 10 blocks. Logan Johnson had 40 assists and Maddy Butler had 33 digs. - Trista Thompson Girls Soccer Finishes Season at West Holmes
On Wednesday, October 20, the girls soccer team traveled to West Holmes for their first sectional game. Unfortunately, the Huskies lost to West Holmes, 7-2, ending their season. Angi Ferri had one goal, Kandence Tanner had one goal, and Lily Gibbons had an assist. The girls soccer team ended their season with a record of 7-8-1. - Maddie Sedgmer Cross Country at Buckeye Local for OVCCL
On Saturday, October 16, the cross country team traveled to Buckeye. The top three girls were: Maddy Edwards in 22nd with a 23:51, Gretchin Dulkoski in 23rd with a 24:15, and Danielle Drapp in 59th with a 29:05. Top three boys were: Aiden Hays in 38th with a 19:54, Colton Howell in 46th with a 20:12, and Avery Wallace in 54th with a 20:50. The girls’ team earned 10th place and the boys’ team earned 12th place. - Gretchin Dulkoski Band Lights Out Show
On Friday, October 15, after the varsity football game, the Harrison Central marching band held their annual lights out show. The band performed on the football field, dressed in their glowing lights, as all of the lights around were turned off. The band students played a few songs, as the crowd continued to cheer them on throughout their performance. What a great way to end the night, great job band members and directors! - Jessica Waid Junior High Football Finishes Season
On Wednesday, October 20, the junior high football team had their last game, against Shenandoah. Unfortunately, they lost with a score of 32-6. They finished their season with a record of 4-3. - Jaida Barber Pep Rally
On Friday, October 22, the Huskies held their one and only pep rally of the season, in the auditorium. Students, 9th-12th, came together to cheer on the boys in their last game against Buckeye Local for the V.A.L.E.S. trophy. The senior football players all provided a speech during the rally, looking back on their last four years of football. - Emily Davis Puskarich Public Library Visits English Classes
On Friday, October 22, Karli Ray and Ashley Smith, from the Puskarich Public Library, visited students in Mrs. Wood, Dunlap, and Baker’s English classes. They gave students library numbers, who did not previously have numbers, and taught the students about different resources the library offers. The students were able to download apps, such as Hoopla and Libby, to access thousands of free titles from school or home.
