Beauty and the Beast

Harrison Central’s “Beauty and the Beast” will debut this Friday and will run Saturday and Sunday. Good Luck to all performers, crew and directors. 

Congratulations to Student Athletes

Congratulations Lucas Thomas for his achievements in the state wrestling finals.

Congratulations Aleyna Runevitch for her achievement in the state bowling finals. 

Superintendent's Updates

Mrs. Snider attended the Harrison Central Career Center’s Industrial National Honor Society awards ceremony. Congratulations to the six students to receive this honor.

Marcy Thompson, FCFC treasurer, and Dana Snider, FCFC board member, attended the Family Children First meeting. 

Treasurer's Updates

Mrs. Harding attended three zoom trainings. They were ARP Homeless II Grant; Catastrophic Costs Refresher and OASBO Lunch and Learn.

The Treasurer completed the ESSER I and ESSER II financial report and submitted it for the US Department of Education. 
 

 

 

Huskies Way Leadership Conference

On Friday, March 4, members of the Huskies Way attended a leadership conference at Kent State University Tuscarawas. These students got to participate in a leadership simulation to improve and extend their skills to help make Harrison Central a better place, the Huskies Way.

State Bowling Tournament

On Saturday, March 5, Aleyna Runevitch traveled to Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowling Alley for the State Bowling Tournament. She placed 2nd in the District Tournament to qualify for the State Tournament. In her first game, she bowled a 170, 190 for the second, and the final game a 148, for a series total of 508. She finished 29th out of 207 bowlers. Congratulations Alenya!

Cheer Banquet

On Thursday, March 10, a banquet for the cheerleaders was held at the high school. Many letters were given out and individual awards were received. This was a great celebration to round up the 2021-2022 cheer season. Great job to all of the girls and good luck to everyone trying out for next year’s squads in two weeks!

Farmer’s Market Fun

Students in Miss Dale and Miss Jackie’s class learned about the farmer’s market. Throughout the experience, students were able to buy produce often seen at the farmer’s market. Then, students worked with their teachers to cook their own eggs.

Drawing Contest in First Grade

Emmeline and Lola won the Leprechaun drawing contest in Mrs. Noble’s first grade.

Skeleton Study

Mrs. Rocchi’s 5th grade Enrichment class finished the final project in their Skeleton Unit. They built their own skeletons.

3rd Grade AR Achievers

Congratulations to the third grade students pictured below, who have all met their AR reading goals for the third nine weeks. We’d especially like to recognize, with honorable mention, Jett Triplett who has surpassed his AR points goal by 258%!
