| Veteran’s Day BreakfastOn Friday, November 11, a group of seniors hosted a Veteran’s Day breakfast for their service learning project. The school cafeteria was opened to veterans and their families, where they were provided breakfast, heard from students and other speakers, and participated in a parade on the elementary side. Thank you to all veterans for their service! - Maddy Bender Girls’ Basketball Scrimmages at Indian ValleyOn Saturday, November 12, the high school girls’ basketball team traveled to Indian Valley, where they scrimmaged both Indian Valley and Coshocton. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams played a total of six, ten minute quarters, three against each team, winning all of them. - Zoe Whipkey OVAC All-Star Soccer GameOn Sunday, November 13, five seniors were selected to represent Harrison Central in the OVAC All-Star soccer game at the Red Devil Stadium. The teams for the OVAC game were divided into those from Ohio versus those from West Virginia. The chosen seniors for the boys were Kaden Jurosko and Jace Madzia, who fell to the West Virginia team with a score of 5-1. The girls’ game followed the boys’, where Collette Downs, Gracie Rogers, and Lexi Smith represented Harrison Central, tying the West Virginia team with a score of 1-1. - Lexi Smith Football BanquetOn Sunday, November 13, the football team had their end of the year banquet. The awards earned by the players were: Austin Lucas and Chaz Culbertson won the Scout Team award, Parker Hutton and Caleb Cowans with the Defense Award, Parker Hutton and Tre Rex with the Offense Award, Hayden Cassidy with the Coach’s Award, Cabot Arbaugh with the Huskies Pride Award, Jace Madzia with the Special Teams Award, and Cabot Arbaugh, Caleb Cowans and Parker Hutton with the Captains Awards. Great job on an amazing season boys! - Emma Tuttle Junior High Girls’ Basketball Defeats Claymont in ScrimmageOn Tuesday, November 15, the junior high girls’ basketball team hosted a scrimmage against Claymont. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams performed well and learned some things they need to improve on for the season. Overall, it was a successful scrimmage. - Sophie Bland Boys’ Basketball Scrimmages LinslyOn Thursday, November 17, the varsity and junior varsity boys’ basketball teams hosted a scrimmage with Linsly.
