Boys’ Basketball Senior Night vs. St. ClairsvilleThe boys’ basketball teams played St. Clairsville Friday night, February 17th. Unfortunately, varsity was defeated by St. C 70-65. Yet Junior Varsity triumphantly won their game 59-49. Tonight was also Senior Night and all seniors were recognized. Seniors recognized, as pictured: Back row- Kaden Jurosko, Jace Madzia, Cabot Arbaugh, and Josiah Jones. Front row- Kirsten Hercules, Gracie Rogers, Alexis Smith, Haley Dunlap, Julena Kovacik, Emma Tuttle, Kaydence Vich, and Riley Stewart. - Cristian Moore Academic Challenge TournamentOn Saturday, February 18, the Academic Challenge team traveled to Eastern Gateway Community College for their tournament. Unfortunately, they lost the first round against St. Clairsville however, came back in the second round with a win against East Liverpool, and unfortunately lost the last round against Carrollton. - Zoe Whipkey Wrestling Buckeye 8 ChampionshipOn Saturday, February 18, the wrestling team took 11 wrestlers to the Buckeye 8 Tournament in Cambridge. The Huskies brought home two champions, 215lb Lucas Thomas and 285lb Landen Thomas. They also had two fourth place finishes, 126lb Jaydis Yoho and 138lb Leland Lopez. - Gavin Ray Boys’ Basketball Victorious in Sectional Semi FinalOn Tuesday, February 21, the varsity boys’ basketball team played away at Union Local, for the first round of the Sectional Tournament. The boys finished the close game victoriously, with a score of 60-58. - Sophie Bland Bowling District TournamentOn Thursday, February 23, TyLynn Smith and the boys’ varsity bowling team participated in the District Tournament. TyLynn finished 24th overall, with a high game of 151. The boys finished 6th out of 6 teams, with an overall score of 2374.
