Baseball Defeats Beavers

   
 

 
   

On Friday, April 5, the baseball team hosted the Beavers of Beaver Local. The Huskies were victorious with a final score of 6-5.

The baseball team hosted Martins Ferry on Saturday, April 6. The boys were victorious with a final score of 4-2.

On Saturday, April 6, the varsity track team participated in Bellaire’s Invite. The boys’ team placed 16th and the girls’ team placed 15th.

On Wednesday, April 10, the Harrison Central softball team faced off against Saint Clairsville. The Harrison Central girls secured a 7-3 win over the Red Devils.

On Saturday, April 6, the softball team battled against Toronto in a very close game at home. The Huskies took the win with a score of 15-14.

On Wednesday April 8, the baseball team faced off against Beaver Local. Despite their best efforts, the Huskies came up short with a final score of 11-3.

On Monday, April 8, the softball team competed against Beaver Local, in a double header. The Huskies secured two wins with scores of 4-1 and 7-5.

Tuesday, April 9, the track team competed at home against St. Clairsville, Barnesville, and East Liverpool. The girls placed 2nd with 63 points, while the boys placed 3rd with 59 points.

On Wednesday, April 10, the baseball team took on the Red Devils. The game was initially scheduled to be away but it got rescheduled for home. The game unfortunately ended in a loss with a score of 0-8.

    Algebra 2 students completed a coloring activity by solving quadratic equations by factoring.    
   

Track at Sandy Valley

   
 

 
   

On Friday, April 12, the varsity track team traveled to Sandy Valley to participate in their invite. The girls finished in 7th place, while the boys ended up coming in 5th place.

On Friday, April 12, the junior high track team went to River View to participate in their invite. With both teams putting up a good fight, the girls finished in 9th place, and the boys finished in 7th place.

Softball Splits with Ridgewood

   
 

 
    The softball team traveled to Ridgewood on Saturday, April 13. The junior varsity was unfortunately defeated with a score of 14-4, while the varsity was victorious in their double header, winning the first game 9-6 and the second game 7-4.    
   

Junior High Track Defeated by Edison

   
 

 
    The junior high track team took on Edison, in the Edison League, on Monday, April 15. Unfortunately, both the boys and girls teams were defeated. The girls fell 77-37, while the boys fell 64-55.    
   

Softball Crushes Bellaire

   
 

 
   

On Monday, April 15, the junior varsity and varsity softball teams went up against Bellaire. The junior varsity was defeated 6-0, while the varsity crushed the Big Reds with a finishing score of 14-3, in five innings.

Track Buckeye 8 Championship

   
 

 
    The Buckeye 8 Track Championships were held at Harrison Central on Tuesday, April 16. The boys team finished in 5th place out of nine teams, while the girls finished in 8th place out of nine teams.

On Tuesday, April 16, the baseball team played Claymont at home. The boys smashed the Mustangs with a final score of 14-4.

    The softball team traveled to St. Clairsville on Tuesday, April 16. The junior varsity team won with a final score of 11-4, while the varsity team was victorious with a final score of 18-3.

On Wednesday, April 17, the baseball team won a short game of only 5 innings, due to inclement weather, against Cambridge, with a score of 5-2.

    The junior high track team hosted Shadyside on Wednesday, April 17. The girls unfortunately were defeated 67-50, but the boys were victorious with a final score of 86-15.    
   

Softball Falls to Cambridge

   
 

 
    On Wednesday, April 17, the softball team traveled to Cambridge. The girls had a rough night, as they were defeated 6-1.    
   

Junior High Track at St. Clairsville Invite

   
 

 
    The junior high track team traveled to St. Clairsville on Thursday, April 18, to participate in their invitational. The girls finished in 11th place out of 17 teams, while the boys finished in 8th place out of 17 teams.    
   

Positive Behavior

   
 

 
    Congratulations to our students for their positive behavior. Carson McCartney for individual responsibility and Lance Rupp for responsibility. Keep up the good work!

    Students in Mrs. McAfee’s second grade class read Easter books, took AR quizzes, and made some chick art work!    
 

 
   

3rd Grade Fishing Fun!

   
    Third graders spent the afternoon at Sally Buffalo Park as a reward for great behavior during the third nine weeks. They played on the playground, made bubbles with Mrs. Beatty, challenged each other at tug of war, tried their skill at cornhole, and went fishing! The Freeport Farmers Sportsman Club donated fishing poles and Mr. D brushed off his fishing skills to help the kids have a successful fishing trip. No one got hooked with a hook and only one person fell in the lake! A great time was had by all!
