Huskies Come Out on Top in Double Header
On Saturday, March 25, the Huskies baseball team opened their season with a double header. They hosted West Muskingum at 12:00pm, then Claymont at 4:00pm. They opened the season with a 3-2 walk-off victory over West Muskingum, when Treston Nemeth singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. The second game started off with a three run deficit, but the Huskies still came out on top of Claymont, 15-5, recording 12 total hits. - Servacio Lopez Harrison Central Track at Claymont Invite
On Saturday, March 25, both the varsity girls’ and boys’ track teams traveled to Claymont for the Jeff Arthurs Invitational. The girls’ team placed second overall, receiving runners up. Leading the girls’ team with first place finishes were Grace Goudy in 100m hurdles and Gracie Rogers in high jump. The team had top 3 finishes in 9 out of 17 events. The boys’ team placed fourth overall. Hunter Boals placed first in shot put, breaking his own record with a throw of 48-01.50. - Nadia Tweedy Junior High Invitational Track Meet
On Saturday, March 25, the junior high track team attended their first invitational meet of the season, at Bellaire. The boys placed eighth overall, and the girls placed ninth. - Sophie Bland Varsity Baseball Hosts Oak Glen
On Monday, March 27, the varsity baseball team played against Oak Glen. Unfortunately, the Huskies came up short with a final score of 4-0. - Kaleb Bethel Varsity Softball Defeats Buckeye Local
On Monday, March 27, the varsity softball team traveled to Buckeye Local. They ended up defeating the Panthers 11-5, and Lizzy Clelland had a two run home run for the Huskies! - Kendra DeWees Junior High Track
On Monday, March 27, the junior high track team traveled to Edison to compete in the Edison League. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams fell to the Wildcats, girls 66-52, and boys 57-51. - Kimberly-Ann Eikleberry Huskies Track Hosts UL, BL, and EL
On Tuesday, March 28, the varsity boys’ and girls’ track teams performed extremely well for the first home meet of the year. Daniel Ody jumped 5 foot 4 inches in the high jump, to place 3rd overall. Hunter Bittinger placed 1st in the 800 meter run, running an amazing time of 2 minutes and 18 seconds. In the girls 800 meter run, Kendal Hercules finished 1st with a time of 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Gretchin Dulkoski finished 1st in the 3200 meter run, running a time of 14 minutes and 56 seconds. Grace Goudy ran 18 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing 1st. The girls 4x2, 4x4, and 4x8 all finished first, and Grace Goudy finished 1st in long jump, jumping 15 feet and 7 inches. - Cooper Thompson Huskies Demolish Bobcats On Tuesday, March 28, the softball team traveled to Cambridge. The varsity team opened the night, defeating the Bobcats 7-3. The junior varsity team played directly after, also defeating the Bobcats, 14-3.
- Maddy Bender Varsity and Junior Varsity Baseball Fall to Indian Valley
On Tuesday, March 28, both baseball teams unfortunately fell to Indian Valley. The varsity team hosted Indian Valley, where they would score 5 runs off of only 4 hits. Tucker Snyder and Kaden Jurosko pitched and the varsity team lost in a close 6-5 game. The junior varsity team visited Indian Valley, where they would lose 13-1. E.J. Keener and Brady Mcafee pitched and Cole Saiter led the junior varsity team in hitting going 2 for 3 on the night. - Chaz Culbertson Junior High track meet
On Wednesday, March 29, the junior high track team hosted their first home meet of the season, against Claymont, Caldwell, and Southern Local. The boys placed 2nd, with 61 points, and the girls were 4th, with 25 points. - Zoe Whipkey Sophomore Scholars Algebra 2

Sophomore Scholars Algebra 2 students completed a mystery drawing by factoring quadratic equations. - Gavin Ray Junior Algebra 2
