Huskies Defeat the Beavers
On Friday, January 13, the junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball teams played away at Beaver Local. The junior varsity ended with a winning score of 39-28, while the varsity also won with a score of 44-32.

Bowling Victorious over St. John’s
Friday, January 13, the boys’ and girls’ bowling teams traveled to St. Clair Lanes to take on St. John’s. The boys team won 1816-925. High individual scores were: John Gray 201, Chad Viers 195, Kyle Bake 160 and 177, and Kobie Hennis 173. The girls won 1719-872. High individual scores were: Cami Basich 192, Lauren Best 182 and 169, TyLynn Smith 146, and Angel Utter 146.
Junior High Boys’ Basketball at Conotton Valley
On Saturday, January 14, the junior high boys’ basketball team played away against Conotton Valley. The 7th grade team ended in a victory, with a score of 36-23. Unfortunately, the 8th grade boys were defeated 41-23.

Freshmen Boys’ Basketball Falls to Steubenville
On Saturday, January 14, the freshmen boys’ basketball team visited Stueubenville. They would lose with a final score of 43-31. Jacob Quito led the team in points with 12.

8th Grade Girls’ Basketball Defeats Conotton Valley
Saturday, January 14, the 8th grade girls’ basketball team traveled to Conotton Valley to take on the Rockets. The girls were victorious with a final score of 41-25.
Jr. High Cheer Wins BITS
On Sunday, January 15, the junior high cheerleaders competed at Best In the State. They competed in the non-tumble division, where they won first place. They have won the non-tumble division 3 years in a row. Congratulations!

Girls’ Basketball Splits with Minerva
On Monday, January 16, the girls’ junior varsity and varsity basketball teams played away at Minerva. Unfortunately, the junior varsity lost with a score of 46-15. The varsity won their game with a score of 35-31.

Freshmen Boys Fall in Overtime at Toronto
On Monday, January 16, the freshmen boys’ basketball team had an extremely tough loss against Toronto. They went into overtime with a tie score of 34-34, but the score ended 41-34, with the Red Knights getting the win. Cooper Thompson was hot from the 3, making 5 of 8 attempts, while Jacob Quito easily scored on multiple fastbreaks.

Bowling Buckeye 8 Tournament
On Tuesday, January 17, the girls’ and boys’ bowling teams traveled to St. Clair Lanes for the Buckeye 8 Tournament. Both teams finished as runners up. The following bowlers were individually awarded for All Buckeye 8: Erica Emhoff, Lauren Best, Cami Basich, Chad Viers, and Kobe Hennis. Congratulations!

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Falls to Union Local
Wednesday, January 18, the junior high boys’ basketball team traveled to Union Local to take on the Jets. The 7th grade fell in three overtimes 27-25, while the 8th grade fell 40-20.
Boys’ Basketball Defeats Cameron
On Wednesday, January 18, the boys’ basketball team hosted the Cameron Dragons. The junior varsity team won with a final score of 52-18, while the varsity team was victorious 68-34.
Junior High Boys’ Basketball Splits Against Bellaire
On Thursday, January 19, the junior high boys’ basketball team played at home against the Bellaire Big Reds. The 7th grade team won with the final score of 21-15. Although the 8th grade team played hard, they unfortunately lost 53-15.

Thursday, January 19, the bowling team traveled to East Liverpool to take on the Potters. Unfortunately, both the boys’ and girls’ teams had a rough night on the lanes. The boys were defeated 2354-2106, while the girls fell 2107-1595.
