The purpose of Student Council is to provide leadership, and to serve the student body, the school, and the community through their service and hard work.
Activities Student Council does:
LifeShare Blood Drives – 2 per year
Pennies for Patients – Money is donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Breakfast with Santa – proceeds go towards purchasing Christmas presents for less fortunate children. The gifts are taken to Job and Family Services and distributed from there.
Donate or hold fundraiser events when there is a tragic event
Examples:
- A student and their family lost their home due to a fire three years ago, we were able to sell root beer and orange floats to help purchase a Walmart gift card for them to buy needed items.
- When student athletes from Buckeye Local were in a serious car accident last year, we were able to sell t-shirts to donate money toward their recovery fund.
